Dr Dimitrieski consults on Friday

Dr. Steph Dimitrieski completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours), Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Master of Psychiatry (MP) at the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and is currently undertaking additional training in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Dr. Dimitrieski completed her psychiatry training through Northern and Austin Health, working across a variety of settings including adult inpatient and community services, crisis intervention, and perinatal health. She has also worked extensively at a statewide psychological trauma service, supporting first responders and veterans. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Dimitrieski teaches Doctor of Medicine students at the University of Melbourne.

Throughout her clinical career, Dr. Dimitrieski has gained extensive experience working alongside neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ community members, and culturally and linguistically diverse populations. She takes an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and neuroaffirming approach to psychiatric care, tailoring therapeutic frameworks to support each patient's unique strengths and needs.

She brings a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to her work and is guided by the conviction that true personal growth occurs when built on a foundation of trust and psychological safety.

Referrals: Dr. Dimitrieski is currently accepting referrals for adults (18+) seeking individual psychotherapy (talk based therapy) for symptoms related to mood, anxiety, complex trauma and PTSD. Where clinically indicated she incorporates medication management alongside ongoing psychotherapeutic care.

Please note: Dr. Dimitrieski is not currently accepting referrals for substance use disorders, eating disorders, ADHD assessments, medication only consultations, or medicolegal reports.
