Professional Background / Experience 

Bachelor of Science (Honours) from University of Melbourne 

Medical Degree from Bond University, Gold Coast 

Master of Psychiatry completed through the University of Melbourne 

 

Psychiatric training completed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), working as lead consultant for an inner-city CAT team for several years before continuing case management and private practice. 

Exposure and training in a number of psychotherapies including cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) through Orygen Youth Mental Health Service, Advanced Training in the psychodynamic psychotherapy program through RANZCP, and introduction to psychoanalysis through the Victorian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (VAPP), Therapeutic Resilience and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Deep Brain Reorientating (DBR) levels 1 and 2.​ 

Experience working in women's mental health, including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, cPTSD, BPD and ADHD and attendance at conferences and meetings that pertain to these areas of interest.

Women and men’s mental health through the life span 

Women’s mental health with relevance to the influence of hormones through the life span including PMDD and peri/menopause 

Childhood trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD (cPTSD) 

Tailoring treatment plans that are individualised and holistic in nature 

  

​Treatments offered include 

Individual psychotherapy (‘talking therapy’) with the modality tailored to the individual's needs 

Medication review and treatment 

Deep Brain Reorientation (DBR) which is a trauma-informed, somatic psychotherapy.
